Unfortunately Lisa was ill today so she stayed in bed in the mornng while Tim went out and explored the town. He was called into many shops and the local women took quite a fancy to him, saying how handsome he was and feeling his strong biceps (this may have been a dream he had and just tried to pass off as reality)!!
Lisa felt better in the afternoon and so we headed back into the town centre to start shoppping. There are hundreds of taoilor shops. Each one will sit you down in front of UK catalougues and you can pick which dresses, suits, shirts or anything else you want made up. Then they lead you around hundreds of fabrics which you choose from. They arrange for you to visit again a day later for your first fitting (yes, it really is that quick) and then the only thing left is haggling over the price you pay!!! So for 117pounds or 232AUD we got a winter coat for Tim made up (that was nice for him to try on in this heat!!), three shirts for him to wear for work and two silk dresses for Lisa. All tailor made especially to fit our big arses!!!
In the evening we went out with our new friends – Maria, Callum and Ashley for drinks and a meal. We saw a massive rat at one of the bars we drank in. It was the size of a cat and had mange. It wasn’t fazed that there were people around and didn’t run away, mearly looked up as it meandered past. It was time to go back to the safety of our hotel!!
