We spent the day travelling by bus to Cambodia, arriving in Phomn Pnen at around 3pm. We booked into a hotel where Lisa's brother and sister-in-law stayed years earlier - The Capital. It was very basic and we opted for a fan room. At just 4dollars it was the cheapest room we had stayed in yet. However, we didn't sleep a wink. It was 38C in our room and unbareable. After numerous cold showers we resorted to taking sleeping pills to get a few hours sleep and the next day changed for an air con room.
Cambodia seems very run down. There are huge piles of rubbish everywhere and people constantly sifting through it to see what they can find. The smell is unbareable at times!!!
